Fighting Dachsunds Turn Back Nolensville, 3-1
|
Ellenburg starter Zi-cheng Pei pitched effectively against the Nolensville Knights at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The left-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. Pei got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Pei allowed 1 earned run. The save was credited to Pedro Huerta, his 2nd.
Alfred Howard Biggs hit a run-scoring triple off Tim Wallace in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Fighting Dachsunds in front, 2-1. Biggs had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Biggs.
With the win, the Fighting Dachsunds improved to 21-15.
