Santa Barbara catcher Benjamin Blunsdon was a significant contributor in his team's 4-2 triumph over the Milton Dogfish Head. He was 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara reliever Sean Jones picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. António López was collared with the loss. Willie Steele earned the save for Santa Barbara, his 6th of the year.
Blunsdon had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 slider from António López, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Golden Cranes a 4-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Blunsdon.
Blunsdon told the Santa Barbara Gazette: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
Santa Barbara is 12-15 and Milton, with the loss, 17-10.
