The Austin Black Mambas turned back the Calgary Lynx, 6-5, at Mamba Park. Jason Portillo was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 3-3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Black Mambas now have a record of 11-14.
Austin took a 6-5 lead on Portillo's 1st triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which he hit off Fred Olsen in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Austin to the win.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Portillo told the Austin Daily.
