9-5 Win by Patriots Continues Hot Start
|
It was a fun time at Dunkin Donuts Park, where the Charleston Battery and Boston Patriots tangled.
The Boston Patriots topped the Charleston Battery by the score of 9-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman Juan Andrés Martí. Martí went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Patriots on the day. Boston now owns a record of 22-7.
Early in the game, Martí had a 2-run single for Boston. It was his 40th hit of the season and put the Patriots on top, 2-0.
"It feels good to get this one," Martí told the Boston Daily News.
