Benefiting from Oscar Henson's productive game, the Salt Lake City Buzz downed the Austin Black Mambas, 5-2. Henson was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Buzz. Salt Lake City is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 7th win in 19 games.
Salt Lake City used a timely hit from César Vélez to get the win. The left fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Buzz on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Vélez told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
