5 Straight Wins for Fighting Dachsunds
|
A 4-RBI performance from Wyatt Quick, who is tied for 6th in the 3AAA with a 1.061 OPS, helped the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds beat the Austin Black Mambas, 9-4. Ricky McCauley got the win, improving to 3-1. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 3. The Black Mambas fall to 6-9 and continue their lackluster start to the 2043 season.
Quick contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for Ellenburg in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 3-1, Quick took a cutter from Harvey Wyles and stroked the double to left. His 8th double of the season allowed the Fighting Dachsunds to leap in front, 4-3.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Quick said.
