The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds wiggled past the Austin Black Mambas, 2-1, at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Ellenburg pitcher Alfredo Romo earned player of the game honors. With the loss, Austin drops to 6-8.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Adrián Gómez came to bat in the bottom of the 13th. Facing Austin pitcher Abdul-Nasir Rabah, he hit a 0-2 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Ellenburg on top, 2-1.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Gómez told the Ellenburg Observer.
