Jasso Slugs Red Pandas to 5-3 Win
|
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas bested the Vermont Lake Monsters by a score of 5-3, with right fielder Mauro Jasso getting the main credit. On the day, Jasso belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Red Pandas. Timoteo Sassetti, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. The defending champion Red Pandas have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 6-6 with the win.
Jasso made an early impact for Sioux Falls when he stroked his 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Red Pandas on top, 3-0.
