The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds topped the Salt Lake City Buzz, 5-3, in M3L Triple A action at Spirits Stadium. The player of the game was Ellenburg pitcher and Nanning, China native Zi-cheng Pei. Pei, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 7 walks. Picking up the save was Kini Grinter, his 2nd.

Ellenburg used the timely hitting of Mike Johnstone to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put the Fighting Dachsunds on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Pei.
