Multi-HR Day for Águila as Buzz Overpower Red Pandas, 4-3
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Ricardo Águila, the Salt Lake City Buzz defeated the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 4-3. Águila belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Buzz. Salt Lake City reliever António Moreno picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Morton Steele took the loss. The loss drops Sioux Falls to 1-1.
The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Águila delivered big-time for Salt Lake City, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Morton Steele. The game-changing hit put the Buzz on top, 4-3.
"We take it day by day here," said Águila, "and today was a good one for us."
