Flamingos Come Up Short at Toledo
|
The Toledo Stingers and Las Vegas Flamingos played a tight game at Pacesetter Park, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.
Toledo pitcher Mason Saunders did his part in helping his team beat the Las Vegas Flamingos, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Toledo reliever Ángel Silva picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-1. Alan Halsall was collared with the loss.
Toledo took a 3-2 lead on David Alcabú's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Las Vegas pitcher Alan Halsall in the bottom of the seventh.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Saunders said.
Toledo has a record of 11-8.
