Northern Lions BC Topple Flamingos with Late Rally
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Todd Strachota, the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Las Vegas Flamingos, 6-3. Strachota was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Northern Lions BC. Roger Rodenburg picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-1. He struck out 1 in 7 innings. The Northern Lions BC, with just their 4th win so far in 2043, have yet to catch fire.

Thunder Bay used the timely hitting of Yao-pang Chiang to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams.
