Grey Wolves Drop Pandas with Late Score
|
The Vancouver Grey Wolves picked up a win at Wolf Den in Vancouver, knocking off the Montana Pandas, 2-1. Starting pitcher Alain Arnaud, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The win lifts Vancouver to a record of 8-5.
Vancouver took a 2-1 lead on José Torres's 15th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Torres hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Montana pitcher Kenji Aoki visibly frustrated.
Arnaud called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
