Toledo and Nova Scotia met at Pacesetter Park in front of a lively crowd.

The Toledo Stingers topped the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 14-3, with center fielder Brook Linen playing a big role. Linen was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Stingers in the win. John Rigsby was the winning pitcher. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Pacesetter Park seemed to enjoy watching the Menard's Third League action.

Linen told a Toledo Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Stingers hope to make a postseason run.
