Multi-HR Day for Dixon as Rainbow Mermaids Overpower White Walkers, 7-5

The Buffalo White Walkers inaugurated the 2043 campaign with a disappointing 7-5 loss to the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Beyond the Wall. Northern Virginia shortstop Bill Dixon had a big impact on the outcome. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Ricardo García got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 11 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 0.
Early in the game, left fielder Guan-pei Bei had a 2-run single for Northern Virginia. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Rainbow Mermaids on top, 3-1.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Northern Virginia manager David Lister.
