Flores Bashes 5 Base Hits Saturday, June 14th, 2042 It was a hits blitz for Martín Flores at Field of the Sunchasers today. The Shady Side Zoomies first baseman tore into the Ballard Beavers for 5 hits in 8 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Beavers swept past the Zoomies 6-5 to ruin Flores's day. "We weren't locating our pitches well," Shady Side manager Bob Dickerson explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Martín was nice but it wasn't enough." Martín Flores hit a two-run home run off Yoshifumi Oshima in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th, singled in the 10th, walked in the 12th, struck out in the 13th, doubled in the 16th and singled in the 18th.
