Ballard Won't Make Playoffs Tuesday, August 26th, 2042 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Ballard Beavers. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Beavers manager Raymond Thomas. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." The Beavers have missed the playoffs 7 times in their 10 years as a M3L Rookie franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2039. In the last 10 seasons, the Beavers have missed the playoffs 7 times. |
