Star of the Week Named in 3R Monday, August 4th, 2042 No single hit brought Felino Edrada Player of the Week honors -- the Franklin Fire right fielder corralled the award with a consistent approach in every at-bat. "Hitting is all about discipline," said Edrada. "When you lose focus, start to lunge at the ball and swing too aggressively... swinging at a lot of bad pitches... that's when your average starts to drop and you wind up fighting for playing time. You're most successful when you concentrate on the ball and make 'em throw strikes." Concentrate he did. Edrada stroked 10 hits in 22 at-bats while cranking out no home runs, 3 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Currently Edrada is batting .278 with 4 home runs and 28 RBIs. |
