Amarillo's Carlton Bags SR Batting Award Tuesday, July 1st, 2042 Michael Carlton put together a good June to earn the USSL Rookie Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Amarillo officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Warheads center fielder posted a .377 batting average with 4 home runs, 20 RBIs and 17 runs scored. For the year Carlton is hitting .311 with 8 home runs.
