Baby Blues Henderson Wins SR Best Hurler Honor Monday, September 1st, 2042 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Dave Henderson, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Quebec City Baby Blues reliever, 19, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .125 average and walked away with the USSL Rookie Pitcher of the Month award for August. Henderson posted a 3-1 mark and a 1.10 ERA in 9 relief appearances. In 16.1 innings, he had 4 saves, 19 strikeouts, and 7 walks. So far this season Henderson is 8-and-3 with 4 saves and a 1.86 ERA. He has given up 47 hits in 63 innings with 66 strikeouts. |
