Gibbard Extends Hit Streak to 30 Games Tuesday, August 12th, 2042 Patrick Gibbard's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 30 games. The Hudsonville third baseman smacked 2 hits against the Tulsa Otters in today's game at Hudsonville Park, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Flanderses drop the game, 2-1. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Patrick Gibbard grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Gibbard has hit at a .284 pace and produced 30 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 44 runs. |
