Iván Toledo Injured, Out for Year Friday, August 8th, 2042 The doctors have spoken and Iván Toledo of the Memphis Music didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Toledo sustained his season-ending injury during the Crowley Cajuns game yesterday at Titans Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Memphis medical staff reported Toledo had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months. To date this season Toledo has compiled a 1-4 record with a 4.30 ERA in 5 starts. |
