Thunder End MacKinder's Streak Thursday, August 21st, 2042 Lady Luck was not on the side of Daniel MacKinder or his teammates today at Virginia Beach Grounds. Everything went the way of the St. Petersburg Thunder, who not only came away with the 2-1 victory over Virginia Beach, but also held MacKinder hitless in 4 at-bats to put an end to his 26-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," MacKinder said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." Thus far this season MacKinder has hit .357 with 3 home runs, 37 RBIs and scored 53 times. |
