Playoffs? No Chance for Providence Wednesday, August 20th, 2042 The Providence Pilgrims were certainly not a team of destiny this year and now they have been eliminated from playoff contention. "We thought we had a better chance than this," said starting pitcher Bill Aylwin. "It's a big disappointment." Providence last appeared in the postseason in 2027. This is their 15th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 25 times in their 27-year history. |
