Barton Springs's Haggard Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Friday, September 5th, 2042 It was a hits blitz for Donnie Haggard at The Igloo today. The Barton Springs Blues second baseman tore into the Billings Polar Bears for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Polar Bears swept past the Blues 17-11 to ruin Haggard's day. "We weren't locating our pitches well," Barton Springs manager Alonso Cruz explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Donnie was nice but it wasn't enough." Donnie Haggard hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Peter Kossan in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
