The quest for the playoffs ended for the Athletic Club KC Academy today, as they were mathematically eliminated from contention. "Not the first time I've experienced this," said Athletic Club KC Academy manager Gustavo Varela, "but it never gets fun." This is the club's 4th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2038. In the last 10 seasons, the have missed the playoffs 9 times. In total, the have missed the playoffs 22 times in their 27-year history. |
