Podell Acclaimed Top Pitcher in July Friday, August 1st, 2042 There's something about a young rookie winning the M3L Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Gary Podell, a 24-year-old starter for the Richland Rails. In July, he topped off the month with a 3-0 mark and 1.09 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 24.2 innings, fanned 23 and held opposing teams to a .200 average. This year Podell has fanned 62 in 63 innings and collected a 4-1 record with a 2.57 ERA. |
