Year Ends for Jorge Gardella in Bethesda Wednesday, July 30th, 2042 The season is apparently over for Jorge Gardella. The Bethesda Atoms medical staff informed the club that the shortstop will be out at least 4 months with a broken kneecap. Gardella was hurt in the game against Squirrel Hill while running the bases. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. This season Gardella is swinging the bat at a .197 rate with 46 hits in 233 at-bats. To date he has hit 4 home runs, scored 34 runs and driven in 18. |
