Dodos End Mehoff's Streak
Thursday, June 5th, 2042
Florida right fielder Walke Mehoff came into today's game against the Hialeah Dodos on a hot streak. He left on a cold one.

The Dodos did their jobs well, beating the Florida Men 24-4 and holding Mehoff hitless to snap his 24-game hitting streak. The 25-year-old right fielder had a few words to say after finishing 0-for-4, telling reporters only that he "came up short."

"What Walke did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Men manager Jerome Perry. "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 24 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."

Batting .431 to date, Mehoff has 15 home runs and 39 RBIs.
