Agramónte's Hit Streak Over Saturday, August 16th, 2042 Emílio Agramónte's 20-game hitting streak was snapped today at Monster Field. The 33-year-old Hartford Pride first baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats in the game against the Vermont Lake Monsters, but Hartford came out the winner, 4-2. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Emílio," Pride manager William Smith said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." Thus far this season Agramónte is hitting .295 with 23 home runs, 53 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has 78 hits in 264 at-bats and has played in 69 games. |
