Rocks End Mildren's Streak Tuesday, June 17th, 2042 Lady Luck was not on the side of Patrick Mildren or his teammates today at Stark Stadium. Everything went the way of the Plymouth Rocks, who not only came away with the 8-4 victory over Syracuse, but also held Mildren hitless in 3 at-bats to put an end to his 26-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Mildren said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." This year Mildren has batted at a .389 pace with 49 hits, 9 home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 23 times. |
