Varela Named Top PAAA Hurler Monday, September 1st, 2042 Luis Varela has made fans throughout USPL Triple A take notice over the past month with an exceptional 5-0 record. No pitcher in the USPL Triple A threw better in August, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today. In 5 starts Varela compiled a 3.09 ERA, putting up a 5-0 record, striking out 26 and tossing 32 innings. To date this season Varela sports a 8-6 mark with a 4.60 ERA in 20 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .255 batting average and has 100 strikeouts in 121.1 innings. |
