Outlaws End Woolever's Streak Tuesday, June 10th, 2042 The Vancouver Grey Wolves lost to the Nashville Outlaws 3-2 today at Wolf Den in Vancouver, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Cameron Woolever's 20-game hitting streak. The right fielder went 0-for-1 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Woolever, we would win the game," Outlaws manager Ryan Naylor explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." A look at his current stats shows Woolever with a .299 average, 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has played in 33 games. |
