John Allen Captures PA Outstanding Hitter Award

The future looks extremely bright for John Allen. At the age of 21, many players are still trying to find their way in USPL Single A.

Allen has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the USPL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .231 this year, that's for sure," the third baseman said.

The Myrtle Beach Seahawks star also put up a .329 on-base percentage this year, with 85 hits, 20 doubles, 2 triples, 34 home runs, 82 RBIs and 69 runs scored.

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 10. Rich Dalzell of the Cut Off Crawdads finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Magnus Fjord of the Rocky Mountain Vibes finished third with 1 first place vote.
