"He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games." Jorge Cambeiro put together a very solid month to take home the USPL Single A's top pitching honor in July. The 22-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 12 relief appearances he raked in 5 saves and 45 strikeouts in 23.2 innings as he put together his 1-0 record and 1.90 ERA. Cambeiro has earned 10 saves and a 2-2 mark this season with a 1.75 earned run average in 32 relief appearances. He has worked 67 innings, yielded 43 hits, struck out 106 batters and walked 15. |
