League Issues Sims 2-Game Suspension Saturday, June 7th, 2042 Following an intense confrontation with the home plate umpire in which he was ejected, Generals catcher Nick Sims was suspended 2 games by the league. Sims had to be physically restrained by his manager and appeared to make a few threats toward the umpire. He was upset by a called third strike in a game with Delaware at Carrier Field. Sims could not be reached for comment on the suspension. Presently Sims is batting .111 with 2 hits and no home runs. He has knocked in 1 runs and scored 0 times. |
