Generals Lose Duarte for Season Friday, June 6th, 2042 The doctors have spoken and Norberto Duarte of the Washington Generals didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Duarte sustained his season-ending injury during the Delaware 1787 BC game yesterday at Carrier Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Washington medical staff reported Duarte had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. |
