League Gets Last Word, Suspends Lissenberg 4 Games Tuesday, September 9th, 2042 Frans Lissenberg of the Levittown Blue Dragons became belligerent after a third-strike call in the game against Laredo yesterday at The Cave at Levittown. Today, the Blue Dragons second baseman addressed his battle with the umps and the ejection that resulted in a 4-game suspension by the league. Lissenberg said the league report submitted to the league by the umpiring crew did not tell whole story. "They conveniently left out the names they called me." In a statement the league said the suspension was because Lissenberg returned to the field after the first argument had subsided. So far this year in 73 games Lissenberg is hitting .238 with 7 home runs, 39 RBIs and 30 runs scored. |
