Hawks Clinch Wild Card Saturday, September 6th, 2042 The Laredo Hawks certainly made things interesting. The Silver A club have battled to the bitter end and have come up with a wild card berth. "It's satisfying to clinch the playoffs so late in the season," said third baseman Woody Maxwell. "You start to doubt yourself and wonder if you can even make it." But the Hawks have in fact made it, with their 58-37 record holding up to now give them a chance at the franchise's 5th USSL Single A championship. |
