Delaware Devastated by Playoff Elimination Friday, September 5th, 2042 When it comes to a late-season playoff disappointment, the old axiom "wait until next year" isn't overly comforting. "We really thought we would get into the playoffs this year," said Delaware 1787 BC catcher Eduardo Lucciardi. "It's really disappointing to come up short." The 1787 BC have missed the playoffs 17 times in their 22 years as a USSL Single A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2039. In the last 10 seasons, the 1787 BC have missed the playoffs 8 times. Delaware last won the SL A Championship in 2025. |
