Year Ends for Yaw Selemani in Niagara Falls Thursday, August 21st, 2042 The doctors have spoken and Yaw Selemani of the Niagara Falls Expos didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Selemani sustained his season-ending injury during the Levittown Blue Dragons game yesterday at The Cave at Levittown. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Niagara Falls medical staff reported Selemani had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. This season Selemani has a 2-5 record with a 2.17 ERA. |
