Berriman and Jones Suspended for Free-for-All Sunday, August 17th, 2042 If there wasn't a history between Roy Berriman of Walla Walla and Arlen Jones of Idaho Falls, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 8 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Berriman said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Currently Berriman is batting .245 with 1 home run and 34 RBIs. Checking out his stats for the season, Jones has notched 6 wins and 3 losses in 14 starts, 5.00 ERA and struck out 46 batters in 86.1 innings. |
