3-Game Suspension for Guerrero Thursday, August 8th, 2041 Roberto Guerrero of the Grand Forks Caterpillars has been reprimanded and given a 3-game suspension for a shouting match with the plate umpire during a recent game at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium with the Monroeville Yinzers. The Caterpillars right fielder said he didn't touch the umpire, but the umpire insisted he did. "I didn't see it, I didn't feel it," Guerrero said. "I was trying everything I could not to make contact with him. The league always sides with umpires. There is no use to appeal." So far this season Guerrero has 2 home runs and a .262 batting average. |
