Caterpillars End Nelis's Streak Wednesday, July 16th, 2042 Lady Luck was not on the side of Jochen Nelis or his teammates today at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. Everything went the way of the Grand Forks Caterpillars, who not only came away with the 5-2 victory over Yucca Valley, but also held Nelis hitless in 4 at-bats to put an end to his 22-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Nelis said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." So far this year Nelis is batting .370 with no home runs. |
