Mané Garrincha Hurt, Out for Year Wednesday, July 9th, 2042 When Mané Garrincha was hurt against the Idaho Falls Chukars, the Monroeville Yinzers were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 19-year-old reliever suffered a torn rotator cuff throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Garrincha would miss 8 months of the season. This year Garrincha has chalked up a 6.67 ERA with no saves. In no relief appearances he has put up a 1-7 won-lost mark and struck out 29 batters in 56.2 innings. |
