Portland's Matsumoto Collects August Batting Honor Monday, September 1st, 2042 Tetsu Matsumoto may be much younger than other hitters in the United States Premier League, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in August to win the Batter of the Month award. The 25-year-old Portland first baseman hit .359 with 8 home runs, 27 RBIs and 13 runs scored. In this current campaign Matsumoto is hitting at a .310 clip with 36 home runs and 103 RBIs. |
