Magic was in the air and on the mound at The Voodoo Lounge today as Jesús Vidro held the New Orleans Voodoo spellbound in his 6-0 shutout victory. The Hollywood Shredders pitcher went the distance, rang up 7 strikeouts, walked 0 and held the Voodoo to 1 hit to garner the win.
"He just had us in his thrall," New Orleans manager Chase Sims said later. "We couldn't put anything together against him."
So far this season Vidro has a record of 2-1 with 29 strikeouts and 3 walks in 28.2 innings and a 2.51 ERA.
