Round 2043 Game 1 Victory for López and Boston
The Boston Patriots moved to within one game of the Round 2044 today, downing the visiting Hollywood Shredders at Dunkin Donuts Park by a score of 6-1. Patriots right-hander Alberto López was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 8 innings of 2-hit ball. The win gives the Patriots a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2043.

López allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits over 8 innings for the Patriots. He walked 1 and struck out 5.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," López told reporters after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow. Slated to start are Kent Good for the Hollywood Shredders and Peer Slooters for the the Boston Patriots.
