The Tortolita Drummers moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Scranton Supernovas at Drummers Ballpark by a score of 10-6. Drummers catcher Omer Yurtseven was named player of the game after he was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win gives the Drummers a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 SL AAA Championship.

Tortolita third baseman Jesús Torres contributed to the cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the second. For the game, Torres was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

Yurtseven said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow at Drummers Ballpark. Slated to start are Heath Brown for Scranton and Will Hoffman for Tortolita.
