Supernovas Even With Drummers After Home Win
|
The Scranton Supernovas topped the Tortolita Drummers by the score of 10-2 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the SL AAA Championship today. The largest share of the credit went to player of the game and Scranton starter Dave McAlear, who threw 8 innings allowing 2 runs in the win.
Jerry Scott aided the Scranton cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-5 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 times.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Scranton manager Craig Stewart.
The next game is set to be played Wednesday, September 24th, 2042 at Drummers Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Heath Brown for the Scranton Supernovas and Cisco Pérez for the the Tortolita Drummers.
